Rhys is infected with bronchitis.
And have to be on nebuliser.
Woke up at 10 mins to 12pm today.
And my maid suddenly tell me that my MIL wants me to
bring Rhys to see his pediatrician.
As the clinic closes at 12.30pm on Saturdays,
and I dun wish to make a waste trip,
I gave them a call first.
And they told me that they're closing soon
and there are no more doctors around.
And I was like 'huh? What the hell?'
Knowing there's nothing I can do,
I put down the phone and start calling my 'mummies'.
Mummy Ang saved my day and told me that her pediatrician
closes at 3pm on Saturday.
She gave me the number, so I call to double check on their opening hours.
The nurse on duty was quite nice.
It was 12.30pm when I called the clinic.
Here's our conversation:
Me: Hi, my son is sick. Can I bring him down now?
Nurse: Sorry, but the registration is closed.
Me: Huh? I thought the clinic closes at 3pm?
Nurse: Yes. We closes at 3pm normally.
Me: Then why does registration close so early?
Nurse: We have too many patients today. Our current waiting time is 5hrs.
So those here now can only see the doctor at 5pm.
Me: Huh? OMG! My boy is coughing very badly & the clinic I usually go to is closed.
I was told by my friend that your clinic open till 3pm, so I thought to bring my son there.
Can you please make an exception? He is really ccoughing very badly!
Nurse: Oh ok, I see... Ok, you come down now to register. What time can you reach?
Me: I'm staying at AMK. To get to the clinic, I would need at least an hour.
Is it possible that I register over the phone?
Nurse: Ok sure. Child's name, pls.
So I did a pre-registration over the phone.
At 2pm, the clinic called and ask me where am I.
And asked how long do I need to reach the clinic.
I told her to give me half an hour.
I reach at 2.45pm.
We waited for about an hour before it is our turn.
When we left the place, it was already 4.30pm.
All I can say is that the doctor is good.
The nurse is good.
The service is good.
I like it there.
If not given that the location is quite far from my place,
I would consider changing PD.
I will have to stop here.
Am meeting my bro for supper and I'm running late.
